Several street closures start across the area today. The State Police want you to know the Interstate 57 will be closed from eight in the evening until six in the morning tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday. Interstate traffic will be taken off the highway between the 308 and 315 exits so IDOT can remove part of the Waldron Road bridge.
The City of Kankakee reminds drivers Brookmont Boulevard will be closed from Schuyler Avenue to Washington from seven in the morning until three in the afternoon today through Thursday so work can be done on and around the viaduct.
Bradley Police warn that road work starts today at North Street and Washington. The outside westbound lane of North Street will be closed during work hours and pedestrian traffic won’t be allowed on the north side of North Street. There’ll be temporary lane closures on both North Street and Washington as well. The road work there is expected to last some 30-days.
