Teen shot in Kankakee

Kankakee City Police are looking into a shooting that happened in the city early Saturday morning. According to reports, officers were called to the 200 block of South Elm about 6:45 Saturday morning for a report of shots fired. When they got there, officers say they found a 17-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. A short time later, officers say they made contact with a 23-year-old man who told them he’d been involved in the shooting. The investigation into the incident continues.
