Suspected shooter arrested

Kankakee City Police say they have arrested a man believed to be the gunman in a shooting incident over the weekend that sent another man to the hospital with a gunshot wound.  It happened Saturday morning in the 200 block of south Elm in Kankakee.  Witnesses tell police they heard a shot fired followed by the victim running up to the home saying he’d been shot.  Police say their investigation later led to the arrest of Fredrick Jones of Bourbonnais.  Jones is charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon.
