As you may have noticed, the cost for a gallon of gasoline is going up again. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead gas in the State of Illinois is four-dollars-33 cents, up 11 cents overnight and up some 23 cents in the past week. Locally, gas is running four-18 on average, up 15 cents since yesterday and up 23 cents over the cost one week ago. Triple-A says gas is averaging 4.08 in Iroquois County, 4.13 in Ford County and 4.17 in Grundy County.
Over in Indiana gas is running 4.08 in Newton County, 4.23 in Benton County and 4.49 in Jasper County. The average cost for a gallon of gas is running four-dollars-17 cents across the Hoosier State. The nation-wide average is three-dollars-83 cents a gallon.
