Gasoline prices continue their upward climb. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead gas is now four-dollars-40 cents in the Land of Lincoln – that’s up another two cents overnight and up a quarter in the last week. Gas in the Kankakee area is up another penny to four-25 on average. Triple-A says gas in Iroquois County is 4.20, it’s 4.24 in Ford County and 4.28 in Grundy County.
In Indiana gas is running 4.10 in Newton County, 4.29 in Benton County and 4.55 in Jasper County. The state-wide average is 4.21 in the Hoosier State. Nationally, gas is running about three-dollars-89 cents on average.
