Iroquois County Board Sends Safe-T Message to Lawmakers, Again

The Safe-T Act was the subject at Tuesday’s Iroquois County Board meeting.  The board had sent a resolution to Iroquois County state senators and house members last January opposing the legislation, now they’re sending another.  Board Chairman John Shure says the same resolution will be sent again to help drive home the point that the people back home don’t like it. He hopes it will have an effect in the effort to repeal the legislation. Also Thursday the board approved putting the proposed budget out for public viewing for the next 15 days at the County Court Clerk’s office.
