Paxton Man Now in Even More Trouble

A Paxton man currently under arrest for allegedly, repeatedly, beating his girlfriend, sexually assaulting her and holding her in his home against her will in early September, is now in more trouble after prosecutors say he enlisted a former girlfriend to deliver a threatening message to the victim.  52 year old Arthuro L. Crawford was arrested September 5^th after the victim escaped the home in the 600 block of East Franklin Street and ran to a neighbor’s house to summon police.   Crawford is charged with criminal sexual assault, unlawful restraint and two counts of aggravated domestic battery.  Both Crawford and the former girlfriend who police say delivered the threatening message via a messaging app are charged with violating an order of protection.  37-year-old Sara L. Ramirez of Melrose Park is free on 74,000 dollars bond.
