Another person arrested in deadly shooting

Bond has been set at half a million dollars for a Kankakee man who allegedly sold the gun that was used in the shooting of Bradley Police Sgt. Marleen Ritmanic. While on a call, Ritmanic was shot and killed and Officer Tyler Bailey was seriously wounded at a Bradley Hotel on December 29th of last year.  Illinois State police say they arrested 23-year-old Jaron M. Shannon Thursday for one count of Unlawful Sale of a Firearm and ten counts of Failure to Maintain Records of a Firearm Sales. Darius Sullivan and Xandria Harris were subsequently arrested for First Degree Murder.  Shannon is believed to be  a ‘straw-purchaser’ of no fewer than 2 firearms who unlawfully transferred no fewer than 10 firearms.
