Prescription Take Back Goes Well

Saturday’s prescription drug take back at Northfield Square Mall was a resounding success.  The Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group, the Pledge for Life Partnership, State Representative Jackie Haas, Senator Patrick Joyce, the Kankakee County Health Department, Riverside Healthcare and local Law Enforcement partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration in the National Prescription Take Back Day.  KAMEG Director Clay Wolfe reported that the event took in approximately 950 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs  for disposal in Kankakee County alone.
