No New Trial for Jacklin

In Kankakee County Court Wednesday Judge Kathy Bradshaw Elliot denied a request for a new trial for Richard Jacklin.  Jacklin was convicted in September of the 2017 sexual assault of a resident at Shapiro Development Center in Kankakee.  The Daily Journal reports the 70 year old Jacklin is facing up to 50 years behind bars at sentencing which was scheduled for Wednesday as well, but that got pushed back to next month when a defense attorney requested time to review a recently received report.
