Perez sentenced to 78 years in killing of Remington woman

A man who in January pleaded guilty to shooting a Remington, Indiana woman to death in September of last year, was sentenced to 78 years in prison today in Tippecanoe County Court.  28 year old Anthony J. Perez shot 33 year old Casey Lewis in the back during an argument between the two as she walked away from their vehicle parked at a Lafayette Wal-Mart.  Perez then fled the state but was tracked down in Little Rock, Arkansas a few days later.
