Barn fire in Beecher

Firefighters from throughout the region were called to a barn fire in the Beecher area this morning.  The wind swept fire broke out in a horse barn in the 200 block of W. Delite Inn Road.  Some of the horses were saved but Eight horses are missing and believed to have perished in the fire that fully engulfed the barn.  Will County Sheriff’s office says it appears the fire started when the resident began burning  some wood that ended up catching some hay on fire that spread to the barn.
