Watseka Man Gets 10 Years on Child Sex and Drug Charges`

A Watseka man was sentenced to four years behind bars yesterday in Livingston County Court on child sex and drug charges.    26 year old Ryan Peters pleaded guilty to traveling to meet a minor and to the unlawful delivery of cocaine.  In exchange for the plea prosecutors dropped charges of child possession and indecent solicitation of a child.  Peters, who has similar charges pending in two other counties, will also have to register as a sex offender for the next 10 years. Peters was arrested by Fairbury police in September of 2022.
