Shooting Death Victim Identified

We have the name now of the teen killed in a shooting last night in the city. Kankakee City Police identify the victim as 16 year old Kimoni Franks of Kankakee. In a press release, City Police say they were called to a home in the 700 block of North Park Avenue about 10:15 last night for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived they found Franks lying on the sidewalk near the intersection of East Birch Street and North Park Avenue. Franks died at the scene.  City Police ask anyone with information on the shooting to call them at 815-933-0426.
