The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced a multi-year plan that includes some 54-million-dollars in improvements to Route 53 in Will County. 40th District State Senator Patrick Joyce says the work has been a long time coming
The plan includes work to be done over the next six years to the Forked Creek Bridge in Wilmington, repaving the roadway from Gardner to the Will County line and repaving from the island in Wilmington to Wilmington-Peotone Road.
