State Park campground re-opens

After several years in the works, the Chippewa Campground at the Kankakee River State Park has re-opened. 40th District State Senator Patrick Joyce says neither the Chippewa or Potawatomi Campgrounds were open when he took office.  In a Facebook post Joyce said hosts are still needed for the campground, but he expects it to be in full use by campers this fall.
