New CSL Union Contract Not Done Yet

Officials with CSL Behring say they are continuing to negotiate with the UFCW ICW local 498 C on a new contract.  The Current Contract expires today.  The contract represents about half of the 1,500 employees at the site.  According to CSL the union recently voted to reject the company’s latest contract offer that included an 11 percent pay raise over 3 years and extra paid holiday, no increase in healthcare coverage and other benefits.  CSO says one of the sticking points in negotiations is the use of subcontractors for Janitorial services.
