Convicted Sex Offender Caught in Online Sex Sting

A convicted sex offender from Coal City is going back to prison after pleading guilty to traveling to El Paso, Illinois in Woodford County to meet up with what he believed to be a 15 year old girl he chatted with on social media to engage in sex.  60 year old Clifford Dose was actually chatting with an undercover police officer.  Dose was arrested when he arrived at the agreed upon meeting place in El Paso.  He has been sentenced to four years in prison.  His past includes a conviction in Kentucky for sodomizing a 12 year old and he did 10 years in Illinois for a LaSalle County home invasion and criminal sexual assault in 1987.
