Crete Monee Goes on Lockdown after a Report of a Student with a Gun

Crete Monee High School went on lock-down today and a precautionary active shooter alert was issued bringing a heavy response from law enforcement to the learning center.   The high school issued a statement this afternoon saying the lock-down was lifted after investigation found it was all apparently the result of a rumor that turned out to be unfounded about a student with a gun.  NBC Chicago reports the student told investigators he was just joking.
