ISP to conduct special patrols tonight

The Illinois State Police have announced they’ll conduct Nighttime Enforcement or NITE patrols in Kankakee County tonight. Troopers say the special patrols run from six tonight until six tomorrow morning and allow them to focus on preventing, detecting and taking enforcement action in response to impaired driving and occupant restraint violations. NITE patrols are paid for through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
