Lockport Homicide victim ID’d

The Will County Coroner’s office has ID’d the man found dead after he was shot in unincorporated Lockport late last week. Will County Coroner Laurie Summers identifies the man as 52-year-old James Berry of Lockport. Berry and another man were shot Thursday evening as they returned home from shopping. The other man was taken tot he hospital and was last reported in critical condition. Will County Sheriff’s Deputies continue to investigate the shooting, but say it was an isolated and targeted attack. They do ask anyone with information about the shooting call their office.
