Two DeMotte area teens were killed and two others seriously injured when the car they were in left a rural Jasper County roadway early Friday morning and hit some trees. In a Facebook post, Jasper County Indiana Sheriff’s Police report their officer got an automated notification just after three Friday morning of a crash in the area of County road 12-hundred north and 900 west and the car’s driver wasn’t responding. When they got to the scene, officers say they found the 2008 Cadillac CTS had been traveling at a high rate of speed when it went off the north side of 12-hundred north and hit at least two trees, splitting the car in two. Reports say there were four teens found outside the car, two of them fatally injured, the other two with serious injures. The severely injured teens were taken to the hospital for treatment. Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies say the cars on-board computer said it was travelling in excess of 100 miles an hour when the crash happened. Deputies continue to investigate the crash.
