Wilmington Woman Pleads Guilty in Child Slapping Incident

A Wilmington woman who slapped her five year old in the face while the two were in the hallway of a hotel in Morris in 2023 has pleaded guilty  in Grundy County Court.  32-year-old Crystal Kahler was originally charged with Aggravated Battery and two counts of domestic battery after hitting the boy causing him to hit his head on a vending machine.   But those charges were dropped with Kahler only pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.  She was sentenced to court supervision for a year.
