Police Departments from across Kankakee County will pause next week to honor fallen officers. The annual memorial ceremony is next Thursday morning. Kankakee County Undersheriff Chad Gessner is president of the memorial committee
The ceremony will include the singing of the National Anthem by Momence High School Students, the roll call of officers and the wreath-laying ceremony. Gessner adds if the weather is bad, the ceremony will be moved to Kankakee City Hall.
