The Illinois State Police have announced they’ll conduct Distracted Driving Enforcement Patrols in Kankakee, Ford and Iroquois Counties tonight. Troopers say the special patrols allow them to focus on drivers who disobey the state’s distracted driving laws by using hand-held electronics while driving. The special patrols are paid for by the State department of Transportation.
