State Police say they’ll conduct special patrols in K3 County tonight

Illinois State Police have announced they’ll conduct Occupant Restraint Enforcement or OREP patrols tonight in Kankakee, Ford and Iroquois Counties. Troopers say the special patrols allow them to focus on safety belt and child safety seat violations. State Police say nearly half of all people killed in traffic crashes were not buckled up.
