Fatal crash on Wilmington/Peotone Road

Will County Sheriff’s Police report another fatal crash on Peotone/Wilmington Road. This one happened just before 11 yesterday morning between South Cedar Road and 104th Street in Peotone, when the driver of a westbound Dodge Caravan reportedly crossed the center line into and hit a Chevy Spark head-on. Manhattan Fire Department Personnel had to cut both drivers from their cars. The driver of the Caravan reportedly died at the scene of the crash, while the driver of the Spark was taken to Riverside Hospital before being airlifted to a Chicago hospital. Will County Sheriff’s Police say they continue to investigate the crash which closed Peotone/Wilmington road for some four hours yesterday.
