Smoke from New Lenox Fire Seen in Kankakee

A huge fire at the Tri-Star Cabinet manufacturing plant in New Lenox, has caused the evacuation of nearby residents and sent a plume of smoke into the air that could be seen as far away as Kankakee County.  Photos sent to us from the scene shows the facility in the 1000 block of Cedar Road has suffered major damage.  The fire started about 10:30 this morning, there’s no word on a cause. No injuries have been reported.
