Voortman Steel, a global industrial manufacturer with headquarters in The Netherlands, held their official groundbreaking ceremony for their first U.S.-based manufacturing and assembly plant and office in Monee. Governor JB Pritzker was one of the dignitaries on hand for this morning’s groundbreaking. Afterword, Monee Mayor, Therese Bogs (long O) says they are delighted to have Voortman in town.
Phase One of this facility is located on 27 acres and will include a 100,000 square feet fabrication shop and 20,000 square foot office with global technical support. Today’s groundbreaking was held in the 25 thousand block of South Ridgeland Avenue in Monee.
