A Channahon man who was arrested in October when a search warrant at his home revealed the makings of a pipe bomb inside, told police he intended to place the pipe bomb in a bowl of candy for children coming to his home on Halloween. Police determined the device did not contain explosives when it was confiscated. Also recovered in the home was 200 rounds of ammunition and 37 year old Bill Fossett is facing multiple charges. He told police some kids in the area had been scaring him, coming into his home and making kicking noises. Police say they also found 2 grams of methamphetamine in the home.
