Elliot Man Killed in Crash

A man from Elliott, Illinois on Rt. 9 between Gibson City and Paxton, was killed this morning in a two vehicle accident in Champaign County near Thomasboro. The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office reports the 33 year old Juan Pablo Sanchez Monrreal blew a stop sign at a rural county intersection and struck a pickup with an attached trailer.  He had to be extricated from the vehicle and later died at the hospital.  The pickup driver was not hurt.
