At today’s Iroquois county board meeting, longtime chairman John Shure said his goodbyes. A new chairman will take the gavel at December’s reorganization board meeting after Shure lost the race for his seat on the board last April. Shure says he’s proud of the work the board has accomplished in his 8 years at the helm.
Shure first took his seat on the board in 2011. Also today the board gave final approval to the Iroquois County 2025 fiscal year 7.6 million dollar budget.
