Coal City Police Chief Announces Retirement

As of next May the Coal City police department will need a new Chief.  Current Chief Chris Harsiem has announced his retirement effect May 3^rd of 2025.  Herseim began his career at the department in 1995 as a rookie, worked his way up the ladder and was named chief in 2021.  In his time as chief Herseim has remodeled both the inside and the outside of the department increased the size of the department and was able to acquire new squad cars and technology for the department.  No replacement has yet been named.
