The Will County Board Thursday voted to delay a final vote on a proposed huge solar farm to be located on 3,600 hundred acres of land in Custer and Reed Townships. Supporters and detractors of the project let their feelings be known to board members at the meeting with residents saying it will hurt their property values and deprive them of their rural way of life. Land owners saying they have a right to if they wish. Will County Board members say in the end a no vote probably won’t stop the project. The state has sets guidelines favorable to the development of solar panel projects.
