Cedar Lake Man Fires Shot Inside Home

A Cedar Lake man was arrested on multiple charges after he allegedly fired a gun into the wall of a home in the 7600 block of West 135th Place, where his girlfriend and her six year old child had locked themselves in a bedroom and called 911.  The woman claims he had earlier threatened to shoot her.  Cedar Lake police say first officers on the scene heard the shot fired and forced their way into the home where they arrested 31 year old William England without incident.  The woman and her child were found in the bedroom shaken, but unharmed.  England is charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon for starters.
