Gun turns Out to be a Lighter

Beecher Elementary School official’s Monday called police after getting word about a student allegedly bringing a firearm to school.   The Beecher community school district 100-U Superintendent’s office says in a statement that police conducted an investigation and found there to be no danger to students, staff or the community.  The alleged firearm turned out to be a look alike weapon that was in reality a lighter.
