Herscher Police report they responded to a domestic disturbance last night in the 100 block of North Mulberry and ended up taking a juvenile into custody. In a press release, Herscher Police Chief Kurt Quick says officers responded to the scene just before 10:30 last night and were talking to the complainant when the 16-year-old alleged offender returned to the home. When officers tried to take him into custody he reportedly fought with officers and had to be tased. A Herscher officer was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the fight, the juvenile arrested for domestic violence and resisting arrest.
