If your New Year’s Resolution included doing more to serve the community, the Child Network has a suggestion for you. Starting January 13th, the Network will have volunteer training classes for you to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate or CASA volunteer. Sam Woodmaster is the CASA recruitment and training coordinator for Child Network

Woodmaster says CASA volunteers will then stay with that child throughout the course of the proceedings and will report back to the court the results of their findings as the court tries to determine what’s best for the child

Woodmaster says if being a volunteer advocate is something you think you might be interested in, you can contact her at 815-936-7372 to find out more.
