Ashkum Snowplow Driver Dies when Plow Hit by Freight Train

An IDOT Snowplow Driver died Monday morning after his plow was hit by a Canadian National freight train near Danforth.  Illinois State police report the truck was struck at an unregulated crossing about 8:30 yesterday morning near the intersection of Rt. 45 and Iroquois County Road 2300 north.  The driver later died from his injuries at the hospital.  The Kankakee County Coroner’s office identifies the victim as 29 year old Aaron Pittman Teague of Ashkum.
