Kankakee Man Arrested in Postal Worker Armed Robbery

A Kankakee man could spend the next 25 years in prison after he allegedly robbed a female postal worker at gunpoint in Chicago last week on East 158th Street and Union Avenue.  According to the Daily Journal, 18 year old Ahmel Holmes was taken into custody at a nearby home after a brief investigation by post office inspectors.  Holmes is charged with Armed Robbery of a postal carrier.  Along with the postal workers belongings, officials say Holmes also grabbed a tub containing undelivered mail.
