Closing arguments to begin in Madigan corruption trial

Closing arguments are set to begin today in Michael Madigan’s landmark corruption trial.  Attorneys for the former Illinois House Speaker formally rested their case last week.   The Chicago Democrat and co-defendant Michael McClain face charges accusing them of conspiring to participate in an array of bribery and extortion schemes.  Jury deliberations are expected to begin next week.
