The Kankakee County Board’s Finance Committee took the first step in abating some taxes for the new fiscal year. The committee met this morning and voted to recommend the abatement to the full board. County Finance Director Steve McCarty
The resolution passed the committee unanimously and moves on to the full board for a vote at their meeting in February.
