Victims of the Wildfires in California are about to get a care package from Kankakee County. N’Tricia Cooke of Bradley was so moved by the devastation she was seeing on television that she decided to take action. To that end, the Daily Journal reports, Cooke began assembling items for hygiene kits to be sent to those in need on the west coast. Now the kits have to be assembled. That’s where you come in. Volunteers are needed to help. That will happen tomorrow at the Bradley Public Library from 10 until 2. Over 14,000 buildings have been destroyed by the wildfires and 28 have died.
