Kankakee Fire reports garage fire

Kankakee City Fire Department personnel were called to a garage fire on West Jeffrey this morning. Reports say the call came in about 8:15 this morning and when they got there, firefighters found the fire had started as a fire in a car and spread to the detached garage, causing moderate damage to the garage. Nobody was injured in the fire which caused some 15-thousand dollars worth of total damage to the car and garage.
