County Deputies investigate Limestone shooting

Kankakee County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a shooting in Limestone Township Monday night. In a press release, deputies say they were called to a home in the 25-hundred block of West Route 17 about 8:30 last night for a report of shots fired. When they got there, they found a 19-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Reports say the victim was un-cooperative with police and refused to provide any information about the shooting. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives say they don’t believe this to have been a random shooting and ask anyone with information about the incident call their office or Crime Stoppers at 815-93-Crime. Tips to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and could result in a cash reward.
