Dwight Stevenson Pool to Close

After some 50 years of providing cooling relief for swimmers on hot summer days, the Dwight Village Board has announced that it will be closing the Stevenson Pool.  The decision was made following the release of an engineering report that showed concerns for the pool’s current condition and its long term viability.  It would take an estimated 6 million dollars to bring the pool up to standards and officials say the funding isn’t there.
