Two men believed to be responsible for an armed robbery in Paxton in December have been arrested in Chicago. The two, identified by Paxton police as 28 year old Rayvonn D Sampson of Champaign and 26 year old Brian D. Ormond of Chicago allegedly entered a liquor store in the 400 block of S. Railroad Avenue and demanded cash at gunpoint. No one was hurt. Police say the two then fled in a gold Malibu. According to police Paxton’s license plate reading cameras help lead investigators to the two suspects. Police believe the two may be responsible for a string of robberies from Champaign to Cook County over the past few months.
