Theft Leads to Drug Charges in Hoopeston

An arrest for retail theft in Hoopeston Tuesday ended with drug charges also being filed against 44 year old Angel Bane of Hoopeston. Police say Bane fled the store after the theft, but was located Tuesday night in the 200 block of East Main Street and was arrested.  While being booked officials discovered over 5 grams of methamphetamine on her person.  She’s now also charged with possession and bringing contraband into a penal institution.
