Three Lowell, Indiana High School students who developed an app to bring attention to animal shelters have won the 2024 Congressional App Challenge in Indiana’s fires Congressional District. The three are identified as Dilylah Johnson, Gabriella Holt and Logan Haskins. Players of the app collect points for helping a cat named Whiskers jump over trash cans. The Congressional App Challenge is an annual nationwide academic competition for middle school and high school students to create an original app or computer program. Feline Frenzy will be part of a rotating display in the U.S. Capitol and will be featured on the House.gov website for the next year.
