Will Co Police report roadside robbery

Will County Sheriff’s Police warn of a roadside armed robbery that happened over the weekend. In a Facebook post, Will County Deputies say they were called to the area of 12-thousand East and South Kedzie Avenue about 9:30 Friday night for a Peotone family who said they were traveling westbound approaching Kedzie when the pulled to the side of the road to change a tire. As they got out of their car to change the tire, they were allegedly approached by three men in an SUV who asked if they needed help, then two got out of the SUV, pulled guns on the pair and demanded their valuables. One of the men reportedly opened the back door of the car and held a gun on a woman and a baby while demanding her valuables. The bad-guys then got back into their SUV and drove off. Will County Sheriff’s Police ask anyone with information on the robbery to call their office.
